Westfield Newmarket is a shopping centre located on Broadway and Mortimer Pass in Newmarket, a central suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. It is one of the city’s premier retail destinations and currently serves a trade area population of 1.1 million residents, with a total accessible market of 1.4 million residents. Westfield Newmarket was opened in the 1980s as 277 Broadway, a three-level shopping centre anchored by a Farmers department store. In 1999, the centre was acquired by Westfield Group and rebranded as Westfield Newmarket. The centre was expanded in 2006, adding a new cinema complex and more specialty shops. In 2018, the centre closed for a major re-build and expansion, which involved demolishing the existing buildings and constructing a new five-level shopping centre with over 230 stores, including a flagship David Jones department store, a new Farmers store, a Countdown supermarket, an Event Cinemas complex and a rooftop dining precinct. The centre re-opened in August 2019 after an 18-month closure.

Westfield Newmarket also has over 40 dining options, such as The Bavarian, White + Wong’s, INCA Ceviche and Woodfired Grill, Bodrum Market, Something & Social and more. The centre has a rooftop dining precinct with stunning views of Auckland city, as well as several cafes and restaurants around the centre. Westfield Newmarket is open seven days a week, from 9am to 7pm on Monday to Wednesday and Friday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 9pm and from 10am to 7pm on Sunday. Westfield Newmarket is the largest Westfield shopping centre in New Zealand by lettable area, with over 88,000 square metres of retail space. Westfield Newmarket has over 2800 car parks available for customers. The car park is accessible from Mortimer Pass or Remuera Road. There are also disabled parking spaces near the main entrances of the centre. Westfield members can receive free parking for up to four hours when they see a movie at Event Cinemas or spend $50 or more at any store in the centre.
