Ormiston Town Centre is a shopping complex located in the suburb of Flat Bush (also known as Ormiston) in south-east Auckland, New Zealand. It is the central hub that will service and support one of Auckland’s fastest growing suburbs. The shopping centre is part of a 19-hectare development on Auckland Council property near Ormiston Road. The development was a partnership between Todd Property Group and Panuku Development Auckland, a council-controlled organisation. The construction of the shopping centre cost a total of $250 million. It started in October 2018 and was completed in March 2021, after some delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The shopping centre has a total retail floor area of 30 000 square metres and features 81 stores and services, including four anchor tenants: New World, Hoyts, The Warehouse and Noel Leeming. The shopping centre also offers a variety of dining options, from cafes and bakeries to restaurants and bars. Some of the eateries include Muffin Break, The Coffee Club, Food Culture, Journal Café and more. The shopping centre is open seven days a week, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Monday to Saturday and from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday. The dining precinct is open until late every night. Shopping centre is designed to be environmentally friendly, with features such as rainwater harvesting, solar panels, LED lighting and electric vehicle charging stations. The shopping centre has ample parking spaces for visitors, with over 1 000 free car parks available. There are also bike racks and scooter parking areas for those who prefer active transport. The shopping centre is well connected by public transport, with several bus stops nearby. The nearest bus stop is Ormiston Town Centre on Ormiston Road, which is serviced by routes 35 (Botany Town Centre to Manukau Station), 355 (Botany Town Centre to Papakura Station) and 368 (Howick to Manukau Station).
