LynnMall is a shopping centre in New Lynn, a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. It is one of the oldest and largest shopping centres in the country, with a history of over 50 years. LynnMall was opened on 29 October 1963 as New Zealand’s first shopping centre. It was co-owned by three department stores: Milne & Choyce, Farmers and Woolworths, which had anchor stores in the centre. The mall was designed by architects Walker, Lewis and Hillary & Co and developed by Hammerson & Investment Trust of London. Since then, LynnMall has undergone several expansions and renovations to keep up with the changing needs and preferences of customers. In 2015, a $36 million expansion named Brickworks was completed, which added an eight-screen cinema complex, a dining precinct and additional stores. In 2021, a stabbing attack occurred at the mall, resulting in seven injuries and one death.

LynnMall is currently owned by Kiwi Property Group, which acquired it in December 2010 for $174 million1. LynnMall has 126 stores and services. The mall offers a variety of products and services, including fashion, beauty, health, electronics, homeware, gifts, books, entertainment and more. Some of the major tenants are Farmers, Countdown, Reading Cinemas, The Warehouse, JD Sport, Cotton On. LynnMall has a food court with 10 eateries that offer a range of cuisines, such as Asian, Indian, Turkish, Mexican and Kiwi. The food court is open from 9am to 6pm on weekdays, 9am to 9pm on Saturdays and 10am to 6pm on Sundays3. The mall also has an outdoor dining lane called The Brickworks, which features seven restaurants and bars that serve dishes like burgers, pizzas, steaks, seafood and cocktails3. The Brickworks is open from 11am to late every day.

LynnMall is open from 9am to 6pm on weekdays (except Thursdays and Friday), 9am to 9pm on Thursdays and Friday, 10am to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. LynnMall was the first shopping centre in New Zealand to have escalators. It was also the first to have a cinema complex with eight screens. LynnMall has over 1350 car parks available for customers. The parking is free for up to four hours per day. The parking entrances are located on Great North Road and Totara Avenue.
